Sounds normal: What you are describing sounds normal but you can always ask your doctor to confirm. Our bodies store fat cells lower in the abdomen. There is more tissue at the lower abdomen between your hand and the baby. Up higher the tissue layers are thinner. The uterus is easier to feel in the upper abdomen.
