Yes: Any liquid can help you swallow medication. The main risk with sparkling liquids is if you take a big gulp and the carbonation (bubbles) cause your gag reflex to cough. Personally, I recommend a small amount of light juice - like white grape juice - to swallow medication with. The slight sweetness will stimulate your salivation and help the pill slide smoothly down. Never dry swallow meds.
