Residual pain: Residual pain after procedure for thoracic outlet syndrome suggests persistent nerve irritation at original site or new damage to an intercostal nerve during the procedure. Recommend X-rays to be sure pressure point on original nerve was relieved and consider EMG if necessary to ensure that nerve velocity is normal
