Retest (sometimes): The standard antibiotics for chlamydia (azithromycin, doxycycline) are so good that it usually isn't necessary to be retested to be certain of cure. However, repeat testing is recommended 3-4 months after treatment. This mostly checks for new infections, which are common, but also rare treatment failures. But also retest early (2-3 weeks) if symptoms continue, if some pills not taken, or pregnant.
