Follow-up closely: In hypothyroidism, it's important in pregnancy to adjust the dose of levothyroxine (Thyronorm or Synthroid) to attain a TSH goal of less than 2.50. If your Thyronorm dose has not recently been adjusted or your doctor is not aware of this TSH level, then it is very important to follow-up with your doctor without delay. It can take up to 6 weeks for TSH levels to respond to a dose change.
