Xiaflex (collagenase clostridium histolyticum) in the feet: To treat ledderhose disease as it is called is currently an "off label" treatment. In the us this means it is not an official recognized treatment associated with the drug xiaflex (collagenase clostridium histolyticum). A literature search will not reveal any significant clinical study published study in peer reviewed literature. One must be careful not to take a patient's stated positive experience if they have had this as the results may be very dependent upon many factors including clinical stage, health and of course subjective interpretation of what a good result is. This does not mean that there are dedicated people who wan tot help others just "caveat emptor".
