Normal variations: Some people will develop a yellowish patch on the inside or outside of the colored part of the eye called a pingueculum, which may be associated with sun and wind exposure. It is not cancerous, and usually not a problem, although sometimes the areas can become injected and irritated. If you are unsure, get it checked out by an ophthalmologist.

Eye color: The red color could be due to allergies, infection, dry eye, and other conditions. A yellow color could be due to liver problems, such as a high billirubin. You should see your ophthalmologist.
