White coat hypertens: I believe you're referring to white "coat" hypertension whereby your blood pressure is normal at home but due to anxiety of going to doctor's office, your blood pressure increases in presence of his/her white coat. I suppose we could take off our white coats. Better yet, measure your BP at home & then bring in your cuff for calibration. Then compare calibrated office readings to home BP to prove.
