Normal variation: A period that is 3 days early (or late) is likely to be just some of the normal variation in how long it takes for an egg to mature. Eggs like children don't all grow or mature at the same rate. Unless you are on pills, patches, rings, or some other method that regulates periods or having other symptoms, this is probably normal.
