Most breast lumps: are not dangerous, particularly at your age. If you are using hormonal birth control, that often causes tender lumps called fibroadenomas. A fibroadenoma is NOT breast cancer, but does increase the risk of breast cancer. There are many other reasons for breast lumps. It isn't possible to know what your lump is without an exam by your doctor and perhaps some testing.
