Anal soreness: I would recommend a good rectal exam digitally and possible to include anoscopy to assess for anal fissure or hemorrhoidal disease.

Get checked: Your OB doctor will need to examine you to find out the reason for these symptoms. A common cause for swelling in the vaginal/anal region during pregnancy is varicosities. Varicose veins of the anal area are commonly called hemorrhoids. Vulvar varicosities are common and can be quite uncomfortable. There are also infectious causes of these symptoms. Exam is the only way to know the cause.
