Cervical cryotherapy: Cryotherapy is a treatment for types of abnormal cells on the cervix, the entrance to the womb. The extreme cold kills cells, and causes inflammation and swelling which may prevent menstrual blood from entering the vaginal canal. This is unlikely to persist, however, for "four weeks", so if no period occurs in another month, see your provider: it may require probing the cervix to open the canal.
