How raised is it: A macule is flat. Can't feel it with your eyes closed. A papule is raised and can be felt. A vesicle is a papule that has fluid in it - like a tear drop. It may also have pus in it- yellowish - then it's called a pustule. All these lesions are smaller than 5 mm in greatest dimension. Please google for images.
