STDs and prevention: It all depends on the std. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are usually symptomatic after three to seven days. Syphilis can take up to six weeks. Hiv can take three to six weeks. Herpes varies as well. Here is a test for you. Can you name all eleven stds? Do you know how to prevent them?
