Cyst, Ringworm, Etc.: It is difficult to know what this might be based on your description. A red, medium-sized "spot" in the armpit would most likely be a cyst (a clogged hair follicle with backed up oil and shed skin cells under the skin surface). If it's flat, it could be an infection. However, it could be a swollen lymph node, a lipoma, or any number of other things. I would suggest you have the spot checked out
