Yes: If you were given a 150 mg dose of Depo provera, (medroxyprogesterone) then your periods will occur every 75 to 100 days depending upon your body weight.

Use condoms for a wk: The usual recommendation is for a woman to use a second method such as condoms for the 7 days following a Depo-Provera shot, if the shot was given after the first 5 days of her period. Since this shot was given on the 8th day, she can use condoms until about day 15 or day 16. The Depo shot is considered to "right away", but the 8th day is getting closer to ovulation, so use condoms to be safest.
