Some: Stimulation of the nipples causes the release of oxytocin which is the chemical known as pitocin caused to induce contractions. However, this only leads to labor if the uterus is ready. In normal pregnancies, this does not cause premature labor but it should be avoided in pregnancies at high risk for premature delivery. Hope this helps.
