I regularly get pain across the top of my left foot which i cannot explain. it exhibits itself mostly when in bed at rest.

Can be a few things: could be a pinched nerve and it is the laying down that is causing the symptoms to occur. Or it could be that once your out of the shoes from the friction the whole day….there is throbbing. This could happen from a bone spur on the top of the foot…..
