Could be: It can take a while to resume normal periods after stopping birth control pills. Bleeding at what would have been mid-cycle could be due to the hormonal swings at the time of ovulation or can be due to an infection or abnormal cervical cells. Discuss this when you go in to nget a new prescription for your pills. Your exam must be due if your prescription has run out. Hope this helps.
