No: The pill doesn't cause fertility problems by itself, and you can start ovulating (releasing an egg) again within weeks of stopping it. If a woman is given the pill for irregular cycles or polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos), when she stops the pill the pcos or other cause of irregular cycles still remains and may affect fertility. The pill doesn't prevent stds like chlamydia which can block tubes.

Yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) has been associated with elevated potassium levels because of the type of Progesterone it contains.
