Manage your acne: You're an adult now. I am going to assume that you are at least using topical benzoyl peroxide and/or retinoic acid. If your acne is this severe, you'll probably need at least a short-term second medication, prescription-strength. A phone call to your physician is in order. There's no figuring out why one person has acne and another doesn't. Manage till it remits on its own.

Infected acne: Your acne got infected and turned to red sore ,you need to see the doctor and get treatment . You may need antibiotics treat infection ,before it spreads more .
