Depends: On symptoms , disc bulges are often asymptomatic incidental findings with no need to change surgically, in US intaoperTive catheterization is routine for long procedures no reason to expect lengthy post op catheterization , talk to your surgeon weather it is necessary at all for a short minor procedure
