Discuss with doctor: Although some do most doctors and hospitals no longer offer immediately post partum tubas as it has higher risk and higher failure rates. In office Essure has the highest success and lowest complication rate. It is done 6-7 weeks after. Laparoscopic tubals are usually done about 3 weeks later. Vasectomy can be done anytime.
