Need more info: If by "nipped" you mean bitten by an animal, then it could be marks from tissue injury showing bleeding under/in the skin. I'd suggest showing it to your doctor where you can better describe what "nipped" means. You should also take a photo of it for the doc to see, as it will change over time.
