Yes: If you are having unprotected intercourse and your period is late or abnormal, yoiu could be pregnant. You can't rely on menopause for contraception until you have been a full year without a period although the chance of getting pregnant in any given cycle (fecundity) does decrease in your 40's. Check a pregnancy test and, to know for sure, repeat it in 3-5 days if it is negative. Hope this helps.
