Shortness of breath: At this young age having shortness breath the most common to think of first is asthma, also need to rule out any birth defect in the heart manifesting now like this. have it checked out if symptoms persist

Nighttime breathing: Greetings. Night time breathing troubles could be related to a few different causes. Sleep Apnea or sleep disturbance. Asthma could be another cause. Seeing your family doctor is a great place to start. Good Luck
