Menorrhagia: Hi PVance ~ NEVER ~ unless you have had amennorrea for more than 4 weeks and suddenly start bleeding it could mean signs of an abortion or miscarriage. Increasing heavy periods with lengthening cycles usually mean you're not ovulating and if TTC you should see an OB specialist.thx

Rarely: A period that is longer than 7 days is abnormal but not usually due to pregnancy. If you are in doubt, check a pregnancy test. Hope this helps.

Probably not prego: If you are pregnant, usually you will have a absent periods (amenorrhea,) nausea, change in appetite, breast tenderness, fatigue and bloating. You can have spotting or a little bleeding following implantation of the embryo or more bleeding with a pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic) so make sure you do a home pregnancy test. If positive, see a doctor or CNM right away to get an ultrasound.
