A member asked:

I am currently taking the pill. have been for the past couple months and have been skipping my period. i am not getting drown discharge, is normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be: The birth control pills we use today contain only a low dose of estrogen or even no estrogen . The progestin provides the contraception and estrogen gives cycle control by stimulating growth of the uterine lining.Because there is only a little lining growing there is little to bleed off and u may skip periods or only see a little spotting that can look brown or black if u r on a very low dose pill
