Fungal rashes: can occur in the skin folds of the groin, pubic area, stomach, armpit ( axilla) and are usually due to factors such as moisture, heat and friction: these are usually quite easily treated: please make sure your physician has recommended treatment.

Likely infectious: Although the cause of the rash is not definitely infection, such as fungus, related are medications that induce skin reactions. Call back to your doctor and ask her/his explanation and meaning of the mycosis term. There is a type of skin tumor that is called mycosis fungoides and make sure this is not what it meant. Either way, repeat evaluation by dermatologist is needed for any treatable rash.
