No: That would be a really unusual first symptom of menopause, it's due to other reasons. Good wishes.

No: A lot of different things can do this but it is not a characteristic symptom of perimenopause. On the other hand, ovarian problems (cancer in a worst case situation) can occasionally present this way, so that any workup should include a look at the ovaries.
