Very wide range: "Incubation period" can mean time to symptoms or time until transmissible to partners. Many STDs never cause symptoms, especially in women. When symptoms occur, typical times are gonorrhea 3-5 days; chlamydia 1-2 weeks; herpes 3-10 days; syphilis 3-6 weeks; HIV 10-20 days; HPV 1-2 mo. to transmit, 6 mo. to 2 years for warts or abnormal pap smear. If at risk, get tested; don't wait for symptoms.
