My dr took me off symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) last week after having been on it for 4 yrs. how long will it take for my body/adrenals to regulate after quitting the rx?

No time at all!: The idea behind inhaled corticosteroids, even those combined w/long-acting beta agonists, such as Advair, Breo & Symbicort, (budesonide and formoterol) is that systemic absorption should be minimal, as long as one doesn't exceed the maximum dose, though enough to lower bone mineral density.
