Lipoma?: The most common cause for a lump under the skin is a benign fatty "tumor"(Lipoma) Lipoma's are very soft. They can be removed several ways: by traditional surgery, by punch excision(a small hole and squeezing out the fat), by liposuction and by injection of a fat dissolving chemical into the lipoma.
