Prolonged period: Your period is longer,normal usually average period monthly is 3 to 5 days. But if it happens once, it can be observe for 3 months diary. If persisted then you need to have a doctor' visit as many conditions can affect periods vary eg stresses, wt changes, hormone imbalance such as thyroid problems etc For your age it usually not results from serious problems.
