Inject or resurface: Acne scarring is very difficult to treat. Although prevention is the best option, once present they can be treated surgically or with injectables. Surgery can include subcision which frees up the scars attachments to the tissue underneath and can then be injected with a filler to raise the depression. Additionally, resurfacing such as dermabrasion or aggressive laser can smooth the surface.
