Adrenaline: If you only have this sensation upon waking to an alarm, it may be an adrenaline response. It could even be exacerbated by feeling dreadfulness towards getting up in the morning (say, if you don't want to go to work). If you have anxiety or burnout, it is a good idea to talk through the feelings with a professional. If symptoms at other times or if they ever wake you up, some testing could be done

Sleep paralysis: What you describe is most likely "sleep paralysis". This happens when you wake up in "rapid eye movement" (REM) stage of sleep, when muscle tone is lost. Alarm is the culprit because you would otherwise wake up when the REM sleep is over naturally. Allow yourself enough sleep time, and treat other possible sleep disorders if present - for example, if you snore, watch out for sleep apnea
