Check for pregnancy.: Whenever there is a change in the pattern of your period, and you are not practicing safe sex, pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases need to be ruled out first! Do a pregnancy test. Repeat in 1-2 weeks. Get checked for std's this week, if you have not been a in long-term mutually monogamous relationship, too. Practice safe sex from now on. If the change in your period persists, see doc.
