Specializes in Infectious Disease

In Most Cases: Recurrent UTI requires thorough investigations to determine the etiology. This may include urinalysis, cultures, blood sugar level, kidney ultrasound, urodynamics, cystoscopy or other imaging studies. Infection can be cured once the predisposing factor is eliminated. Some cases are difficult to cure and require chronic suppressive therapy with antibiotics

Boost immunity: Taking a zinc supplement 25-50 mg/day, vitamin D3 10kIU/day, and a good probiotic daily might help solve the problem since they boost immunity and reduce inflammation and pain.
