Gastroenteritis: You might have a case of stomach flu which can cause chills, nausea, diarrhea and sometimes vomiting. Usually it subsides in several days. If the stool is loose and continues, you should see your doctor for stool cultures. Food poisoning usually causes vomiting within 6-8 hours of eating contaminated food. Flu-like symptoms can often cause back pains as well. Recommend bland diet until better.
