Bacterial vaginosis?: This has nothing to do with smoking by anyone. The most common cause of bad vaginal odor is bacterial vaginosis, an overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria. Trichomonas, an STD, also can do it, and women with BV are at increased risk for other STDs like gonorrhea and chlamydia. See your doctor ASAP for exam and testing. Your sex partner(s) also should be checked. Good luck!
