Repeat test: Home pregnancy test generally have a control line which will show up if the test is negative. If the pregnancy test was "blank", i.e. the control line didn't show then that is an indication that the test was faulty. If the control line shows up but the test line does not then the test is negative. Pregnancy tests are fairly reliable, but if a test is negative it should be repeated in 7-10 days.
