Moderate drinking OK: Probably you have chlamydia, the main STD treated with azithromycin. Alcohol in moderation won't intefere with the antibiotic or effectiveness of treatment. Of course very heavy drinking impairs the body's ability to fight infections, so don't overdo it. Be sure you and your partner get retested for chlamydia and gonorrhea in about 3 months. Good luck!

Alcohol: interacts very strongly with metronidazole (Flagyl) that is used to treat vaginal infections and/or some STD. This is not as much as a concern with azithromycin. Azithromycin and alcohol both require the liver to work harder, and taking them in combination is not recommended. Protect yourself from getting STDs in the future by consistent use of condoms. Some STDs are so easily treated.
