A member asked:

I took azithromycin for chlamydia. what i want to know is during treatment, is it possible to reinfect another part of your body via bodily fluids?

No: Since the azithromycin is in your blood stream and therefore everywhere in your body you can't infect another prt of your body with chlamydia while on the antibiotics and the chlamydia should be gone by the time you finish the antibiotics. Hope this helps.

No: While you're taking azithromycin, it's not possible to become infected with an organism that is sensitive to azithromycin. It is possible to be infected with a different organism or an organism that has become resistant to azithromycin.
