Is it normal to have lots of spotting while on pill? am not pregnant. pill suppose to regulate my irregular period

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can cause this: It's a known side effect of BCP's It's a fairly common occurrence in the first month or 2 after starting a birth control pill, and most often stops after the 1st 3 months. If it persists - it is called breakthrough bleeding, and often switching to a different BCP - may stop this unwanted side effect. Make sure you're not pregnant! then consider switching pills.
