After stopping BC: After stopping any type of hormonal contraception ovulation and subsequent menses may be delayed. Your ovaries have been resting -when they wake up and ovulate you should have a period two weeks later. The time it takes is variable so use another form of contraception- you may ovulate before you have any bleeding.
