Depends: Birth control won't really get rid of ovarian cyst, just prevent follicles or egg cysts from forming. It really depends on if they are complex cysts and the size. If pain isn't tolerable you may need laparoscopy. However, there is always the possibility of complications with surgery. IF all else fails seek a second opinion with another GYN
