Lymph node?: Most likely a lymph node, which houses immune cells. Some of these permanently reside in the node and others go in and out. In the context of infection, there would be an influx of white cells as the overall immune response adjusts. However, rarely, a lymph node enlarges due to an influx in cancer cells. For this reason, if it persists, it is worth seeing a physician and completing a work up.
