A member asked:

No period for 6 mths diagnosed with pelvic inflam disease/bacterial vaginas 2 periods right after that in the same month almost 2 mths later no period?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not an infection : Infections like pelvic inflammatory disease and bacterial vaginosis can cause bleeding but they don't cause delayed or skipped periods. Talk to your gynecologist about what is going on. Stress, diet, exercise, weight, and sleep changes as well as medications, and diseases such as thyroid disease, insulin resistance/diabetes, PCOS, adrenal and pituitary problems can cause this and need to be treated
