Mirena (levonorgestrel) effects: I have over 15 years experience with Mirena (levonorgestrel). Breakthrough bleeding is the number one side effect. I have seen the others you mention in various patients. If these continue, see your provider to discuss. There are several options to help alleviate these symptoms.
