Should be ok after: Atenolol (a beta blocker) keeps your heart rate from increasing too much. You need to keep taking it according to your doctor's instructions, but it should be ok to delay it until after a workout. A reason for doing that is that the medication will reduce the output of your heart - you might feel like you're running out of gas before you reach your usual maximum effort.

It should not matter: Atenolol has a long half life, and should have stable levels in your body if you are taking it daily. Taking it before or after your workout should not make much of a difference in most cases.
